VANDEL'S BACKSTORY

From Pokemon, to Dragonball Z, to Naruto we all have many of us are familiar with or have had some exposure to Anime and Manga in Pop Culture. y earliest exposure was to the Manga publication Shonen Jump .Growing up I often drew the characters I saw, and made my own fan-fiction comics based from the original stories. The characters were so cool! I aspire to someday be just as talented as the artists who created them. I would draw day in and day out getting lost in the worlds I would create. I knew that someday, I wanted to create original characters of my own with just as amazing literary depth and amazing action packed scenes and spreads.
The name "Vandel" and "Marchen", my artistic handle, are derived from two anime series that I really enjoyed. I loved the name Vandel from "Beet the Vandel Buster" and Marchen from "Marchen Awakens Romance."Starting from the mundane task of creating an email handle for myself, the names have evolved into a sort of artistic alias for me and ultimately my self branding, leaving my mark and changing the word to represent me. In the present and future, I plan to expand as an artist, utilizing different mediums of expression to bring my worlds to life. My goal is to draw and create the characters that I like to see represented in the media I consume. I want people to feel the same connection with and excitement towards my characters as I did with the ones I grew up with and inspired me. Welcome to the Vandel Verse!
